- Abstract
The article focuses on the threat regarding the decline of populations of Ozark hellbender, also known as Cryptobranchus alleganiensis bishopi, an aquatic salamanders found in Ozark streams of southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. It states that the decline is caused by water quality degradation, increased siltation, and increased impoundments. It cites conservationists who look beyond agency and geographical boundaries to collaborate and share resources.
