- Abstract
The article analyzes the voice of the female protagonist in the Song of Songs and the reaffirmation of the superiority of monogamy over polygamy. It explores the narrative of the Song wherein the Shulammite praises King Solomon and identifies herself with the beauty and scent of nature, and King Solomon and the shepherd court the heroine. Also discussed are the lessons about female and male relationships, the vow of marriage, and the reflection of God's love in marriage.
