- Abstract
Overall, these observations suggest that the question of "band removal schedule" and the appraisal of patient risk situations are definitely questions of importance in patients undergoing gastric band removal. We share the opinion regarding the need to implement and secure the patient care pathway of patients with obesity that have been operated of AGB to warrant optimal weight loss outcomes, limitation of band-related morbidity risks [[1]], and nutritional issues such as the refeeding syndrome (RFS) [[10]] and associated neurological complications [[11]]. B Dear Editor, b We read with interest the manuscript from Dr Chiappetta et al. [[1]] as well as the different corresponding comments [[2]] regarding adjustable gastric banding (AGB) issues.
