- Abstract
The article presents information on the role of the juvenile adjudication in the in the elevation of the criminal sentencing of an adult with reference to the judgment of the Supreme Court of the U.S. on the case Apprendi v. New Jersey. The use of non-jury adjudications for the juvenile cases is recommended by the federal and state courts of the U.S. Information on the role of the jury and the Congress of the U.S. regarding these cases is also presented.
