- Abstract
The article reflects on the slavery and sexual abuse cases in Australia and also discusses the latest amendments in the legislation regarding human trafficking as proposed by the Australian Government. It states about several court cases of slavery and sexual abuse which include R v. Tang and cases against Trevor McIvor and Kanakporn Tanuchit for human trafficking. According to the recent law reform, slavery is the most severe offence as defined in the Criminal Code in Australia.
