- Authors
Hickie, Scott
- Abstract
The article discusses that economics is not the only player in the global financial market as the author tackles several challenges for ecologically development in the global financial crisis (GFC). The author stresses that many social and cultural forces are also at stake like the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and international objectives designed to protect the biosphere and the global environment. He states that the impact of the GFC on the HIV/AIDS epidemic is one of the seriously deleterious consequences for the global community of human beings.
