The article discusses the three-year deal for managed Internet Protocol (IP) services between the California Department of Parks and Recreation and the Verizon Business to allow students and teachers explore their state's huge natural resources. It states that the IP network will grant the State Parks to converge separate voice and data networks and increase capacity. It cites that the department is deploying video multi-casting and video conferencing for educational purposes.
