- Title
The Ethics of Temporality -- A Rejoinder Syllepsis Redux and the Rhetoric of Double Agency.
- Authors
Stewart, Garrett
- Abstract
The article focuses on the ethics of rejoinder syllepsis redux and the rhetoric of double agency. A definition of syllepsis is presented, referring to a syntax redux. Based on passive grammar, an agent is the indirect object marked by a preposition. One speculation about syllepsis is that it emerged as a trope of difference between literal and metaphoric leanings in the work of words. A theoretical approach to wordplay is to intersect the narrative issues of double plotting.
