- Abstract
The article focuses on the investigation done on Pernambuco Seamounts in the Brazil basin. It mentions that structure of the upper part of the sedimentary covered seamount is analyzed by using a SES 2000 deep seismoacoustic profilograph whereas bottom relief was investigated by using an ELAC echosounder. It states that the volcanic rocks are related with subalkali trachy basalts by their petrochemical parameters and are characterized by high titanium (Ti) and phosphorous (P) contents. It also mentions that the rocks of petrochemical parameters are similar with basalts which makes volcanic bodies in the oceanic islands.
