- Abstract
The article examines the acquisition decisions of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) within the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) program. It discusses the contracts of the DoD and other government agencies with private corporations for launch services. It further suggests the adoption of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and informs that Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) approaches for future acquisitions of launch vehicles.
