- Abstract
The approach to vascular complications associated with the treatment of head and neck carcinomas can be very challenging. The major vascular problems are related to the carotid artery and include tumor involvement, carotid rupture, and radiation-induced accelerated atherosclerosis. This is a case report of carotid artery involvement by a squamous cell carcinoma and a review of the management of these vascular problems.
