- Title
Singing the Mass.
- Authors
Tucker, Jeffrey
- Abstract
The author reflects on the act of singing the Mass. He states that some people often discuss the progress in replacing vernacular communion hymn with the chant and psalms from the Graduale. He quotes the document "Music in Catholic Worship," in saying that the distinction between the ordinary and proper parts of the Mass with regard to musical settings is no longer retained. He believes that singing the mass draws attention to the perfect song that the Church has given the Catholics.
