- Abstract
The article focuses on antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPS), considered as a proactive approach on addressing antimicrobial resistance. It says that antimicrobial stewardship team which is headed by antimicrobial steward comprises of core members. It discusses several stewardship strategies such as front-end or pre-prescriptive and back-end or post-prescriptive strategies. It adds that ensuring the use of the most appropriate agent concerning correct dose is the primary goal of ASPs.
