The article focuses on the significance of chaperones for patients and medical practitioners during medical examination. It says that the American Medical Association recommends that all practices must have a policy on the availability of chaperones and that patient can request chaperones at any time. It states that offering a chaperone to examiners should be made before the examination period. It adds that patient's examination must be rescheduled if the patient objects to have a chaperone.
