Title
Healthy Hibernation.
Abstract
A reprint of the article "Health Hibernation" which appeared in the 2008 issue of the Shepell-fgi newsletter "The Balancing Act" is presented. The article offers suggestions on health-related activities during the winter season. Indoor activities suited to one's interests, abilities and available space are said to help keep a person mentally and socially engaged, as well as ease his or her seasonal blues. Based on studies, exercise can boost a person's mood and can be as effective as medication for treating mild to moderate depression.
