- Title
What Students Really Think About Doing Research.
- Authors
Bernard, Warren
- Abstract
The article examines student perspectives on a local science and engineering fair project in the U.S. in which students were given the freedom to identify, develop and test the problem and make conclusions based on relevant data analysis. The study shows students' reluctance to complete a project for the fair, citing topic selection as the most difficult part. It talks about the ownership phase in the course of the project design and implementation, interest in the topic, and the benefits.
