The article offers information on meeting the needs of unaccompanied child refugees. Topics discussed include children apprehended by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the U.S.-Mexico border are returned to Mexico, unaccompanied children remain in unauthorized status in the U.S. and experience socioeconomic hardship; and children have little formal education are not proficient in English.
