- Abstract
The article discusses some of the reasons why the Kodály method is not often used to students in secondary choral levels in the U.S. It cites that the causes include the improper sequence of ear training and music theory curriculum, several Kodály certification programs are not successfully considered in secondary instruction and the limited knowledge of the students in rhythm syllables. Some resources on the method's implementation in secondary choral classroom are also presented.
