- Abstract
The article provides information on the provisions of Chapter 626 of the California Legislature which concentrate on the legislative findings on the life and influence of Harvey Milk, an Assembly member and advocate of the rights for LGBT people. Such findings reveal the efforts of Milk as a community leader and civil rights activist, the statements of his assassination and its aftermath. These great deeds and accomplishments of Milk led to the designation of May 22nd as the Harvey Milk Day. These became significant matters on the area which encourages students of public schools to learn and ponder.
