- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 47-year-old perimenopausal woman who was referred to a hospital with a strong family history of ovarian cancer. The patient decided to undergo a prophylactic bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy with a simultaneous hysterectomy and then a total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) was performed without complication. Furthermore, intravenous antibiotics were administered intraoperatively.
