Cobweb disease is a fungal infection disease to a wide range of cultivated edible mushrooms worldwide. It is caused by fungi of Cladobotryum (teleomorph Hypomyces). Recent advances of the pathogens, disease symptoms and occurrence regularity, and prevention measures were reviewed in this paper. Moreover, future research prospects for cobweb disease and its pathogenic fungi were also discussed.
