- Title
KRAS and Cancer Stem Cells in APC-Mutant Colorectal Cancer.
- Authors
Fearon, Eric R.; Wicha, Max S.
- Abstract
The authors discuss research on the role of adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) and KRAS mutations in promoting colorectal cancer (CRC) phenotypes. They reference the study "Role of Oncogenic K-Ras in Cancer Stem Cell Activation via Aberrant Wnt/&x00DF;-Catenin Signaling" by B. S. Moon published in the current issue of the journal. They believe the need for more clinical trials that target colorectal cancer stem cells.
