- Abstract
The article provides information on two recent studies which reveal that second-generation antipsychotics increase risk of death, particularly when they are prescribed at high doses. It cites the third phase of the Clinical Antipsychotic Trials of Intervention Effectiveness (CATIE) study which shows increases in blood sugar levels among patients that take aripiprazole.
