- Abstract
This article describes the profile of Mexico's peer evaluators, known as certified evaluators, from 2014 to 2017. The profile was constructed with survey data and official information analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results show that on average, the certified evaluators were female (63%), under age 40 (41%), had a master's degree (45%), and some type of previous training in assessment (37%). The average evaluator enrolled in the certification process in search of professional development (74%), while 9% did so to generate income. The findings provide knowledge about key actors in peer evaluation. Having a profile of certified evaluators is relevant because they are potential collaborators in developing new systems for assessing teacher performance.
