This scientific paper is concerned with the concept of international crime and its relationship to domestic criminal law. International criminal law regulates criminal offenses with international elements, and criminal offenses provided for by national legislation and international conventions. The main purpose of international criminal law is the protection of citizens, society, states, the international legal order, and peace in the world international criminal law exercises this function based on international conventions and national criminal legislations that determine which acts are considered international criminal acts and which country's court has the right to conduct criminal proceedings. The main aim of my scientific paper is the study of the relationship between international criminal law and domestic criminal law and how much effective can be the harmonization of both of them to prevent serious crimes. International law regulates relations between states, while domestic law regulates relations of individuals and legal persons within the borders of each individual state. The relationship between international law and domestic law varies, and the status of an international treaty within domestic law is determined by the country's constitutional provisions. International justice means ensuring accountability for some of the most serious crimes: genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, torture, and enforced disappearances. The main function of international justice is to settle in accordance with international law, legal disputes submitted by States and to give advisory opinions on legal questions referred to it by authorized UN organs. For the direct or indirect implementation of IC norms and standards, relevant are the constitutional provisions according to which international agreements that are ratified in accordance with the Constitution are part of the internal legal order and cannot be changed by law.
