- Authors
MANASIJEVSKI, Jovan
- Abstract
The article explores the disparities in social development between the planning regions through the analysis of the domains of poverty and social exclusion, social protection, and child protection. The conducted analysis identified pronounced disparities between the planning regions in social development. The paper draws initial conclusions about the scope and level of disparities in the planning regions. Thereby, the registered disparities in the planning regions in the separate indicators in the field of social development are outside the acceptable limits when it comes to the Northeast and Polog planning region. The conclusive consideration and recommendation of this paper are to create all necessary preconditions for socially inclusive balanced regional development by ensuring greater social cohesion between and within the planning regions. In that direction number of recommendations have been given.
