- Abstract
The article focuses on problems of baseball's antitrust exemption in the city of San Jose, California. It discusses the District Court for the Northern District of California case City of San Jose v. Office of Comm'r of Baseball, in which the city of San Jose filed suit against Major League Baseball based on violation of federal and state antitrust laws and Sherman Antitrust Act enacted by U.S Congress to oppose anticompetitive practices including monopolization and restriction on free trade.
