- Abstract
The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) established the Centralized Laboratory Network (CLN) in response to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The network initially consisted of high-quality laboratories in North America, Europe, and Asia, with the goal of standardizing vaccine evaluation. The CLN played a crucial role during the pandemic by offering free testing of samples for vaccine developers, regardless of their size or funding status. The network has since expanded to include 17 laboratories from 13 different countries, including low- and middle-income countries, which strengthens its ability to evaluate vaccines against emerging infectious diseases. CEPI remains committed to supporting vaccine developers by providing free or affordable testing services and promoting transparency and collaboration within the scientific community.
