- Authors
Yarnell, Eric; Abascal, Kathy
- Abstract
The article focuses on the therapeutic use of undervalued herbs including Anemopsis californica or yerba mansa, neutralizing cordial, and Althaea officinalis or marshmallow root. It states that the yerba mansa is used in the treatment of abscesses and wounds. Moreover, the neutralizing cordial is a herbal mixture developed by eclectic physicians for the treatment of infectious diarrhea. Furthermore, the cold infusion of Althaea officinalis is used for the treatment of strep throat in children.
