- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 67-year-old male scheduled for video-assisted thoracoscope (VATS) bullectomy and also mention the patient was diagnosed with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prior to pneumocystis pneumonia. It discusses the patients medical history including atrial fibrillation and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It mentions avoiding airway pressure elevation and applying of positive-pressure ventilation using mask and reservoir bag in the patient.
