The article offers information on the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act, its interpretation by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in a 2015 Declaratory Ruling and Order, and several court cases related to it. Topics discussed include a petition filed by the ACA International, Association of Credit and Collection Professionals, to review the FCC ruling, the Baisden v. Credit Adjustments Inc. court case of Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the rules regarding consent for calls.
