The article focuses on the aspects of representation as a developed branch of descriptive psychology. It states that representation is a simple and intentional mental act with matter and quality. It says that introspection reveals the unity that comprises quality and matter due to their interdependency. It also adds that the counterargument that the matter of the act in introspection is not perceived.
