- Abstract
The article presents a study concerning the potential links among organic private labels (PLs) products and organic imports. Data from a survey of organic food retailers in the U.S. revealed the existence of significant link between the higher shares of imported organic products and organic PLs which are available for sale. The authors add that their research cannot confirm the hypothesis regarding the ability of retailers to establish simultaneous decisions in organic import and PL matters.
