- Abstract
This article explores the potential benefits of using berberine-loaded liquid crystalline nanoparticles (BM-LCNs) for the treatment of chronic respiratory disorders (CRDs) such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pulmonary fibrosis. The study investigates the anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic effects of BM-LCNs using in vitro models of inflammation and fibrosis. The findings suggest that BM-LCNs have the potential to inhibit the activation of immune cells and fibroblasts, indicating their potential as immunomodulators and therapeutic agents for CRDs.
