- Abstract
The article offers information on various issues related to the environmental health. It says that mitochondrial diseases, which were previously regarded as mainly genetic, are illnesses that are possibly caused in some way by environmental influences like cellular battery pack exposures. Meanwhile, despite a global ban on asbestos because of the health risk connected to its exposure, several countries including the U.S. continue their importation and utilization of products that are made with the said mineral. It also mentions the epidemiologic studies suggesting that traffic exposure is linked with the acute myocardial infarction; however, these studies did not adequately characterized the roles of several components of air pollution associated with traffic.
