- Title
Daring to speak about abortion in the classroom.
- Authors
Hurley, Laura
- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses abortion education to young people in schools. She asserts that some teachers avoid the subject of abortion due to anxiety in discussing a sensitive topic or lack of knowledge. She says that abortion education encourages the youth to consider the issues which may result from unplanned pregnancy and abortion. She cites the organization Education for Choice (EFC), which can give support and resources for the delivery of sex and relationships education (SRE).
