- Abstract
The article offers information on the research project conducted by OTAWOOD regarding wood technology in Otaniemi, Finland. It outlines the people involved in the research project headed by Professor Eero Paloheimo, which aims to study and design wooden structures that could possibly be overused by the construction industry. It highlights the processes of the study which was presented through designs of six different buildings. It notes that the design process of the buildings were carried out using 3D computer-aided design (CAD)-models, in which the shapes where developed in coordination with civil engineers. Photographs on the design models of the buildings are presented.
