- Abstract
The article discusses mineralogy, geology, and geochemistry of the Shinyemi iron (Fe) deposit and its implication on a genetic model. Topics discussed include composition of Shinyemi granitoid which includes grained biotite granite, quartz porphyry, and aplite, association of Fe orebodies with the magnesian skarn such as layered skarn, massive skarn, and vein skarn, and recognition of paragenetic stages of skarn formation and ore position by mineral assemblages and textures.
