- Abstract
The article focuses on deficiencies of the Electronic Sports League (ESL) anti-doping regime and proposes solutions for compliance with international law and values of eSports stakeholders. It mentions need to solve potential noncompliance with European Union (EU) treaty-based law under the European Convention on Human Rights and resolutions of the Council of Europe. It also mentions solutions transposed from traditional sports anti-doping policies that address discrepancies with EU law.
