- Abstract
The article reports on the involvement of dairy farmers' veterinary surgeon in their Red Tractor Assurance herd health plans. It mentions the revision of standards the related to such planning and review which follows a consultation. It notes that veterinarians will be obligated to annually review data on lameness, culling and mastitis that are collated in the plan as well as inspect a random cow sample in milk, calves and stock to develop recommendations for improvements.
