- Title
Dog control bill 'not the way forward.'.
- Abstract
The article discusses the issues raised by the British government about a Private Member's Bill that would repeal breed-specific dangerous dogs legislation that has passed its second reading in the House of Lords. The legislation, the Dog Control Bill, was introduced by Lord Redesdale and would put more responsibility on dog owners and focus on the behaviour of a dog instead of its breed. According to Lord Redesdale, the existing legislation had not worked and had actually boosted more problems.
