The article provides information and treatment of chronic progressive lymphoedema among horses. It states that the disease is a condition characterised by progressive swelling, hyperkeratosis and fibrosis of the distal limbs. The disease can be treated through combined decongestive therapy which involves a daily specialised massage called equine manual lymph drainage, which reduces oedema and softens fibrosis.
