- Abstract
The article presents a case study on mercury poisoning in a male German shepherd dog that experienced bloody diarrhea and vomiting. The laboratory examination of the dog shows moderate leucocytosis with initial symptomatic treatment that includes antibiotic and intravenous fluids. It suggests that heavy metal intoxication should be considered as possible cause of renal failure.
