- Abstract
The article reports on the study that evaluated the effectiveness of fenbendazole to treat dogs with naturally acquired Strongyloides stercoralis (S. stercoralis) infection. It is suggested that oral administration of fenbendazole is suitable to treat the infection, as shedding of first-stage larvae in the faeces ceased and diarrhoeic became normal. It noted that the attachment of fenbendazole to tubulin molecules causes inhibition of microtubule formation.
