The article examines the practice of the Lutheran Orthodox Church in Denmark in dealing with popular magic and witchcraft. An introduction to witchcraft prosecution in early modern Denmark is provided. The case of a demonic possession of two children is discussed. The lack of involvement of theologians in trials of witchcraft is explained.
