- Abstract
The article offers information on a study which aims at determining whether predictors of emergency room (ER) utilization could be identified during a behavioral health consultation in the primary care setting and to investigate which variables were most important in predicting higher ER use. It states that behavioral health consultants, case managers, social workers, and nurses could potentially help reduce ER visits by identifying patients at risk for ER visits in primary care.
