- Abstract
The author reflects on the study of S.D. Davydow and colleagues on depression and risk of hospitalizations for ambulatory care sensitive conditions (ACSCs) in patients with diabetes. The author says that the researchers analyzed cohort data that question whether comorbid major depression was linked with hospitalizations. It states that the limitations of the study was the lack of information on the treatment. Moreover , results suggest enhancing depression care to prevent hospitalization.
