- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 22-year old woman who developed neuroleptic malignant syndrome due to the consumption of mega-doses of neuroleptic drugs (ND) prescribed by her physician. Later, the doses of ND were decreased gradually and eventually the drugs were discontinued. She recovered well after that following 4 months of psychotherapy. She was prescribed lithium to prevent a relapse of the disease.
