- Abstract
The author reflects on various aspects of genetic haemochromatosis (GH). He discusses various biological phenomena involved with GH. It is stated that metabolic errors such as GH is the commonest among the Caucasian population. An analysis of iron absorption process related to the disorder is offered. He suggests that a reliable and specific genetic marker is necessary to asses the prevalence and expression of the condition in general population.
