The article focuses on IwamotoScott Architecture's Hydro-Net project, a winning entry in the competition to visualize San Francisco, California, 100 years after that was ran by the History Channel in January 2008. It states that IwamotoScott's Hydro-Net project proposes that the new city emerge above ground at the coast of the bay, while opportunitic built nodes take advantage of juxtapositions of topology, infrastructure and functional need.
